Robotic Rotary Mower

The MAS 05 mower is a 3 metre wide rotary mower with a diesel electric power source designed for unmanned maintenance of large turfed areas such as sports grounds, turf farms, parks and estates. With the added benefits of a folding batwing cutting deck the Mas 05 is easily transported between sites.

Unmanned GPS navigation

MAS 05 utilises the Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine its position and navigate its route. The GPS combined with the onboard computer and a base station allows MAS 05 to calculate its position down to sub-inch accuracy and through differential steering the machine moves along its predetermined path with an exception level of accuracy. The computer software on the machine enables a multitude of patterns to be created across the turf.

Ease of use

Installation of MAS 05 could not be easier. The operator drives the machine to the field or area to be maintained and guides it around the boundary in installation mode. Permanent obstacles such as power poles or irrigation points within the working area are marked in the same manner to identify they positions. Once MAS 05 has this information any cut pattern can be entered from the manual control pendant.

Hybrid drive system

MAS 05 uses a diesel electric hybrid system to provide power to the rotary cutters, wheel drives and computer systems. The system comprises of a 34Hp turbo diesel engine, a 48 volt 100 amp alternator and a 48 volt battery back. This system provides easier maintenance and efficiency over conventional hydraulic mowers.

Productivity

The 7 bladed rotary mower deck has up to 34Hp available to cut grass and is capable of mowing 3.5 acres / hour at speeds of 1.5m/s. The 80 litre fuel tanks allow the machine to operate for 15 hours before a text message is sent to your mobile phone requesting refuelling.
